This work objectified a 5Hz tone. It was a recording.

A single speaker was attached to the underside of an aluminium tray projecting sonic information, the kinetic/potential energy of the 5hz wave, into its negative-space.

The means of this recording were simple; plaster was poured into the tray while the sonic information was present. As it set, the plaster adopted the form of the space, but was also inevitably affected by the presence of the tone. The sonic information is there in the plaster, recorded as a mute, objectified trace.
